Guoco Group’s portfolio and strategic investments are not limited to any specific industry or sector, but priority would be given to industries which are relevant to the Asian market where the Group has extensive core businesses, as well as industries that will provide core synergistic value with the Group’s existing businesses whether through acquisition of intellectual property rights, relevant superior technology and/or distribution capability. For example, Guoco Group is the single largest shareholder of Pepsi-Cola Products, Philippines Inc, which was successfully listed on the Philippines Stock Exchange. Other examples of the Group’s global investments include China Sky Chemical Fibre Company Limited, a leading nylon manufacturer in China which is listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange.
